I have agreed to join PCG Pit Stop for their Dallas, Huntington Beach, and Toronto training sessions. By all accounts, these sessions have been among the best events in auto industry history for increasing dealer revenue. The event leader, Brian Pasch, is well known for his passion toward dealer training and continual improvement. Joining Brian and his outstanding lineup of speakers makes perfect sense in my continued pursuit toward a better, more profitable auto dealer community.
I will speak on Increasing Profits through Sales and Marketing Analytics. Dealers will learn how to measure and compare various advertising alternatives and hold vendors accountable for profitable results.
There is nothing theoretical about what I bring to these seminars. After pulling data directly from vendor systems, some stores are paying three times as much on a Cost per VDP basis for a popular listing service than other stores are paying for the same service. One recent analysis of a dealer purchasing an upsell product from the same vendor revealed an astronomical rate of over $4.00 per VDP from that product, a rate at which any positive ROI is virtually impossible. I'll show dealers how they can identify which products make sense based on their inventory and location before the advertising purchase is made. I will also train on the best methods of measurement and analysis to be sure sufficient value is being received.
Automotive retail marketing does not have to appear like rocket science, but there is solid science and mathematics behind it. Dealers who continue to rely on old rules of thumb or are duped by sales pitches are going to lose out to those who market their store efficiently and effectively.
